Patricia Ann Betton

September 10, 1938 — June 17, 2025

Springfield, Ohio

Patricia Betton, 86 of Springfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.  Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family.  She was kind, loving, supportive and nurturing.  She was a fixer.  She always wanted to help in times of crisis, times of joy and everyday life.  If her family was happy, she was happy.

Pat was born on September 10, 1938 in Denver, Colorado to the late Carl and Lavona Collard.  She was raised in Denver until traveling to England with her mother and stepfather S/Sgt Theodore Smith to Winsford, England where she met the love of her life, M/Sgt Roger Betton.  They married five months after they met and lived a beautiful life together for over 60 years.

Pat was a stay-at-home mom for many years raising her four children while her husband served in the United States Air Force and was gone on many deployments.  She was strict but loving and did a great job raising her children a lot of time alone while her husband protected and served our country.  She was a very proud military wife.

Pat worked many years at Lazarus then later retiring from the Kissell Company.

She is survived by her four children, Kim (Vern) Betton, Scott (Kristi) Betton, Tammy (Allen) Crippen and Peggy (Shawn) Allen. Grandchildren Amber (Corey) Betton, Ashley (Sonja) Crippen, Allison (Zach) Carper, Kylie (Doug) Campbell, Makenzie (Brett) Betton, Chelsea (Lee) Nelson, Thomas (Lizzy) Allen, and Eli (Zoey) Allen.  Great grandchildren Dalton, Nataliah, Abigayle, Avery, Alexis, Ronan, Oscar, Penelope, Wyatt and Beau and a great great grandson Hudson on the way.  She is also survived by one sister Debbie Anderson and a special cousin Scott Milner.  She is also survived by her very special friends, Dan and Marilyn Gallagher who were more like family than friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Roger, her sister Carol, son in law Roger Crippen and special nephew Denny McFarland.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with a 3:00 p.m. funeral service.  Pat will be laid to rest following the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
