Richard "Dick" Glenn Walker

Richard (Dick) Glenn Walker, affectionately known as “Chief” to many, of Cedarville, OH went to his forever home to be with his Heavenly Father peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday evening, February 9, 2024. He was born June 4, 1946 in Ashland, OH, the 4th child of the late Gilbert and Marie (Moody) Walker. 

Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, loyal friend, and mentor. He served faithfully at Cedarville College/University for 42 years. He has spent the last 11 years pouring into the Cedarville community through events and his monthly newspaper, Intersection 42 & 72. Dick also was a faithful member of the Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville for 52 years. 

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda (Madsen) Walker, children, Tricia (Greg) Clark and Scott (Valerie) Walker, grandchildren: Camden (10) and Braxton (9), Ainsley (15), Elyse (13), and twins, Avery and Ella (10), sisters, Joyce King and Peg (Dale) Ziegler, brother, Ronald (Deb) Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Becky Walker, and brother-in-law, Elvin King. 

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, Cedarville. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, Cedarville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dick’s honor may be made to One Bistro, 87 E.
