Richard “Elwood” Yocum aged 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, December 11, 2022. He was born on December 20, 1933 in Skaneateles, New York, son of the late Raymond and Leotta Yocum. He graduated with a bachelor degree from the Circleville Bible College, retired foreman from GE, and was a song and worship leader in Clinton Mississippi for the Nazarene Church. He had many interests and hobbies throughout the years such as bird watching, riding motorcycles, flying, and skeet shooting. He devoted his life to loving the Lord and imparting that love on his family. He will be remembered for his gentle soul and wisdom.
Elwood was preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen Yocum and several brothers and sisters.
Elwood is survived by a family he loved dearly and was loved by dearly. Three daughers and two sons-in- law, Robin Koetz, Jenny (Rene) Moran, Valerie (Victor) Moran; five grandchildren, Aaron Chelikowsky, Brandon Harrison, Jaimee Moran, Jordan Moran, and Alexa Moran; five great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Pamela Woods and Clarice Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews including Darla (Jim) Steffens.
Viewing will be held at 12:30 p.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17th at the Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center, 2425 N. Limestone St., Springfield, Ohio, 45503
