Rick E. Taylor, Sr. was born on November 5, 1961, in Columbus, Indiana. He departed from this world on April 26, 2025, in Beavercreek, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy defined by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering passion for life. A devoted father and grandfather, Rick's spirit was rooted in his loved ones, who flourished under his guidance and warmth.
Throughout his life, Rick was known for his exceptional skills in working on cars and small engines. This was not merely a career for him; it was an expression of his ingenuity and an avenue through which he crafted connections with those around him. Always willing to help, Rick consistently went above and beyond for friends and family alike, exemplifying what it meant to be a reliable and authentic person.
Rick is survived by his beloved sons, Rick, Jr. (Valerie) Taylor, Anthony Taylor (Tyler Glass), and David Taylor, as well as his cherished daughter, Christina Mullis. He was the proud grandfather of several grandchildren. In addition to his immediate family, Rick held dear the bond he shared with close friends, including Donna, Scott, Uncle Dave, Phillip, Dave, and Kristie, who were fortunate to experience his unwavering support in addition to his Pastor Damon Medeiros and church family at Freedom Baptist Temple whom he loved dearly.
Rick's journey through life was supported by the love of his parents, the late Glen and Margaret Taylor, and a brother who has since passed.
A Graveside Service will be held in his honor on May 9, 2025, at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio, beginning at 12p.m.
