Robert Lacy Blevins

Robert L Blevins was born on March 30, 1935 in Staffordsville, KY and passed away in Springfield at 91 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of Boone Blevins Sr and Dora Frazier Blevins.

Robert was a resident of Springfield for over 65 years and worked for Navistar for 50 years. He also proudly served in the US Army during peace time for two years from 1956 to 1958, He was a 55 year member of the Anthony Lodge of the Masons.

He is survived by his only child Rhonda Blevins Runge, his son in law Monte Runge, and granddaughter Paige Runge all of Houston TX. He is also survived by nieces Sue Blevins, Teresa Blevins Cantrell and Dianna Blevins Skaggs as well as his nephews Paul Blevins, Glen D Blevins and David Blevins.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Ann Blevins, his brothers Boone Jr Blevins, Joseph Blevins & Howard Raymond Blevins and his niece Cathy Blevins.

Graveside services will be held at Rosehill Burial Park on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. in the mausoleum chapel.
