With deepest love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we remember Roseann Holton (Justice), who passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, in her hometown of Springfield, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 8, 1944, in Springfield, Roseann’s journey began and ended within the embrace of a community she cherished, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Roseann’s life was a living testament to kindness and grace. She was the daughter of Walter and Helen Justice, both of whom preceded her in passing, and was nurtured in a home where faith, compassion, and togetherness were guiding lights. From an early age, Roseann’s gentle spirit shone through—those who knew her often remarked that she had never spoken a harsh word and radiated a sweet kindness that made all feel welcome.
Throughout her years, Roseann wore many hats with quiet strength and dignity. She was a talented hobby photographer and painted for Olan Mills, immortalizing moments not only for her own family but for countless others. Her artistry extended from behind the lens and paintbrush to her hands, which were always busy with sewing, crocheting, and tending to the vibrant blooms of her garden. As a stay-at-home mother, Roseann dedicated herself wholly to nurturing her family, providing steadfast support and endless warmth.
Her love for simple joys found its expression in many ways. Bowling nights, captivating hours at craft shows, and the creation of crocheted treasures and hand-sewn garments were all threads in the rich tapestry of her life. Roseann’s garden flourished under her care, each flower a symbol of her devotion to cultivating beauty, both in the world and in the lives of those around her.
Faith held a central place in Roseann’s life. She devotedly attended Firch Church of the Nazarene on Home Road, where she touched many lives teaching Sunday School, guiding young hearts with patience, gentleness, and wisdom. Her warm presence in the church community was cherished, her encouragement nurturing faith and hope in others.
Roseann’s greatest pride and joy was her family, whom she loved unconditionally. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, James Holton, who was her steadfast companion through the seasons of life. Her loving legacy lives on in her daughter Pamela (Gregorio Alvarez) George, her grandson Ryan (Clarissa) George, and her great-grandson Jonathan George. She is also dearly remembered by her siblings: Michael (Carolyn) Justice, Mary Justice, Patricia (Bill) Wolfe, Joan Wilson, Deb (Scott) Lisch, David (Sandi) Justice, Richard Justice, and Cynthia Justice, as well as her nieces, nephews, close friends and extended family.
While Roseann has rejoined her beloved parents Walter and Helen, brothers, Robert (Noretta) Justice and Jim (Jan) Justice, and her brother-in-law Ronald Wilson in eternal peace, the memories she created remain a guiding light for those who mourn her loss and celebrate her life.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Roseann Holton during visitation on August 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center, 2425 N Limestone St, Springfield, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location, before a final committal at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 8200 West National Rd, New Carlisle, Ohio, at 2:15 PM.
Roseann Holton’s life was a mosaic of kindness, creativity, and unwavering love. Her memory will be cherished always—as the blooms in her garden return with every spring, so too will the warmth of her spirit continue to inspire and comfort those who were lucky enough to know her.
