Rosen D. Thomas, 72, of South Charleston, Ohio, passed away on February 2, 2025, at the Springfield Masonic Community in Springfield, Ohio. He was the only child of the late Billie and Virginia (Finchum) Thomas. Rosen grew up on the family farm where he continued in life as a dairy and grain farmer. He was happiest while on the farm. Rosen graduated from Southeastern High School. While in school he met the love of his life, Shirley (Tate) Thomas who also precedes him in death.
Remaining to cherish Rosen's memory are his children and their spouses; Emily (Larry) Shaffer, Billy (Kara) Thomas, and Caleb (Kayleigh) Thomas, and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Joel, and Jude Thomas.
Rosen was a longtime member of Victory Chapel Assembly of God. When he wasn't working on the farm, he enjoyed playing in a basketball league with his friends, having his nightly bowl of ice cream, and watching Ohio State and Tennessee football as well as March Madness. He also loved yearly family trips to Myrtle Beach, SC and Sevierville, TN in the summer.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM with a service beginning at 1:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, 2425 N. Limestone St., Springfield, OH 45503. Entombment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clark County ASPCA in Rosen's honor.
