Ruth Ann Blevins

Ruth Ann (Armstrong) Blevins, age 76 of Springfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was born October 12, 1949, the daughter of the late Gerald and Kathryn (Jones) Armstrong. Ruth Ann is survived by her loving children; Mark (Anita) Blevins of Springfield, Melissa (Rick) Link of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Randy (Bill) Blevins of Gahanna, Ohio, cherished grandchildren; Dillon and Ethan Blevins, Lindsay (Ryan) Kumfer, Allison Link, Erin Lloyd, Casi (Brian) Pence, Jon (Melodi) Ingerman, Brandon (Lindsey) Ingerman and Jessica (Bryant) Robbins who lovingly knew her as “Grandma B”. She was also known as Grandma “B” to great-grandchildren; Dawson, Charlie, Mackenzie, Garrett, Brooklyn, Nolan, Clara, Brandon, Braylon, Lincoln and Lyla. Ruth Ann is also survived by her brother, Jerry (Jolene) Armstrong, numerous special Jones and Armstrong cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ruth Ann is reunited with her beloved husband of 55 years, Richard “Dick” Blevins, parents, Gerald and Kathryn, sister, Sharon, and many other extended family members.

Ruth Ann's happiest childhood memories were made on her grandparents' farm in Licking County, where she was surrounded by the love of family. She cherished the time spent there with her grandparents and cousins, creating memories that remained close to her heart throughout her life. In 1971, Ruth Ann made Moorefield Township her home, where she became a dedicated and active member of the community. She proudly served the township for many years as Township Clerk before retiring. Prior to her career with the township, Ruth Ann worked for Rand Miller at State Farm Insurance for more than 15 years. In her free time, she enjoyed relaxing with crossword puzzles and loved traveling. Some of her favorite destinations included Las Vegas, beach vacations, and camping trips at Indian Lake with her beloved husband and cherished friends. Whether at home or on the road, Ruth Ann found joy in spending time with the people she loved most.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home. Ruth will be laid to rest at Myers Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Kidney Society in Ruth’s honor.
