Sally J. Foster

Sally J. Foster, 73, of Springfield, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on August 31, 2025. She was born on October 21, 1951 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Henry and Ruth (French) Ford.

Sally was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, graduating from Springfield South High School. She married and became a mother at an early age. She was a loving and caring stay-at-home mother, having four beautiful children. She worked at Fulmer’s Grocery Store for several years. Sally enjoyed cookouts with her family and spending time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her sisters, Nancy Holt and Linda O’Neal; brother, Rick Ford; daughter, Amy (Mike) Schoneberger; sons, Shane (Tracy) Shirk, Bryan (Julie) Shirk and Matthew (Schen) Shirk; grandchildren, Shayna, Brittany, Ashley, Shane, Jr., Heather, Ashley, Bryan, Jennifer, Bryson, Courtney, Matthew, Andrew, Katie and Payton; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Susan and Brenda; brothers, Michael and John; her first husband, Tim R. Shirk for 19 years; and her second husband, Richard Foster.

Viewing will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 11am-12pm at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with service beginning at 12pm. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Condolences may be expressed to her family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com.
