Sheldon “Tony” Anthony Bushu, age 67 of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2026. He was born on February 26, 1958 in Springfield, Ohio, son of the late William and Delores (Runyan) Bushu. Tony is survived by his son, Kolten Bushu, daughter, Shaunda (Aaron) Brown, siblings, Karen (Chuck) Hanrahan, Regina (Rick) Rodgers, Carla (Eddie) Decker, grandson, Cameron Brown, multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of lifelong friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, April Ricketts, and many special friends that were like brothers.
Sheldon lived a life filled with laughter, love, and the open road. A career truck driver and Harley enthusiast, Sheldon enjoyed riding his bike and embracing the freedom of the open air. Beyond the miles traveled, Sheldon was an active member of his community. He proudly served as a Master Mason with Fielding Masonic Lodge 192, and was involved in various organizations, including the Eagles, Union Club, Machinist Club, and Teamsters 572. Sheldon was known far and wide for his big heart, ornery spirit, and infectious personality. He never met a stranger; rather, he had a remarkable way of turning encounters into lasting lifelong friendships. His jokester nature and ability to light up a room with his presence made him a beacon of joy in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 10:00-1:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Day Air Hospice in Tony’s honor. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com.
