Steven D. "Bug" Hamilton

Steven D. “Bug” Hamilton, age 70 of Springfield, Ohio passed away at his residence June 6, 2025. He was born February 8, 1955 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of the late Marion and Bertha (Brooks) Hamilton. Bug is survived by his children, Jaimie (Chad), Stephanie (Kenny), Steve (Aimee), and Joshua, grandsons, Matthew (Lindsay), Andrew (Sydnie), Darrian, Joe, Justin (Olivia), and Peyton, great-granddaughter, Amelia, siblings, Shirley, Jim, Brenda, Ron (Martha), Sylvia, Mark (Sam), Jeff (Natalie), Darlene (Kevin), and Kim (Denzel), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ink, the mother of his children, Denise, and beloved dog, Precious.

For 28 dedicated years until his retirement, Bug worked for KTH Parts Industries in St. Paris, where his passion for his job was evident. He took pride in his work, finding fulfillment in every task he undertook. Beyond his work life, Bug loved his family and cherished every moment, especially those spent in the company of his grandchildren who loved him unconditionally. He had an ability to throw humor into everyday interactions, always ready with a joke that could brighten the room. Time not spent alongside his family was devoted to his passion for classic muscle cars, fishing, and gardening. Bug will be remembered by all who knew him for his jokes, laughter, and the love he shared with family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Ingling Williams & Lewis Funeral Home, South Charleston. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025, also at the South Charleston Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
