William P. Daugherty

William P. Daugherty, fondly known as Bill, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the family farm after a brief illness. Born on October 23, 1944, to the late Paul and Mary Ann (Dwyer) Daugherty.

Bill was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in South Charleston as well a proud member of the Ohio Farm Bureau.

Bill took great joy in mowing grass and reveling in the simple pleasures of living on the farm. Surrounded by the love of his family, he cherished the time spent with them. He loved NHRA drag racing and good conversations with friends.

Bill is survived by his beloved daughter, Jean Daugherty; his brother, David (Dodie Winebrenner) Daugherty; his nephew, Terry (Jayme) Daugherty; his brother-in-law, Mike (Carol) Coleman as well as his little dog, Casper. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 53 years, Patricia "Patty" Daugherty and his loving son, Jeff Daugherty.

The community is invited to pay their respects at Ingling & Lewis Funeral Home in South Charleston. Visitation will be held on December 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on December 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Bill will be laid to rest next to his wife and son at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery.

Bill Daugherty leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedicated service to his family and community. He will be remembered for his kindness, passion for farming, and the countless conversations that brought joy to those around him.
