Woodrow Arden Lewis

LEWIS, Woodrow Arden “Woody” age 84 of Springfield, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Emergency Room at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 25, 1941 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia to the late Wilford and Margie (Webb) Lewis.

He loved his family, cars, the outdoors including hunting and fishing. Woody was an ace mechanic and was an incredible handy man.

He was survived by his loving wife, Lana Lewis; children: Allison (Bob) Kimmel, Susan (Jerry) Blair, Janette, BJ, Eric, Gretchen (Jerrid) Douglas, Woodrow Jr., Brian (Kim) Lewis, Lisa (Mickey) May and Leeanna Haynes; brothers: Bill, Charles, and Larry Lewis. He was also a devoted grandfather to: Elizabeth, Lauren, Josh, Tianna, Sarah, Emilee, Hannah, Brittany, Janice, McKenzie, Alden, Adara, Jaimie, Jacob, Tyler, Ryan, Brody, Gage, Ariah, Jordan, Aiden and Willow. Ten great-grandchildren including: Ayla, Zane and Jeaven. Woody had a 70 year friendship with Pete Douglas, who also survives.

In addition to his parents, Woody was preceded in death by his brothers: Danny, Steve, Duke, Ricky and Jerry; sisters: Shirley, Betty, and Carolyn; grandchildren: Victor and Chelsea as well as a great-grandson, Noah.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration with his funeral beginning at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Steve Wallace officiating.
