WARM COATS-WARM HEARTS COAT DRIVE
Springfield, Ohio, October 3, 2019: Can you imagine not having a coat this winter? We can’t either. The Jackson, Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center and the Salvation Army are kicking off the annual Warm Coats – Warm Hearts Coat Drive.
Many adults and children struggle during the winter months because they are unable to afford proper cold-weather attire. With so many people struggling financially, your coat and clothing donations matter more this year than ever.
The Salvation Army will help distribute coats through its agencies. “Having a warm coat in the winter is something many of us take for granted” said Ryan Ray of the Salvation Army, Resource Development Manager. “But there are far too many people lacking the funds to meet their families’ most basic necessities: food, shelter and clothing”
Anyone wishing to donate coats for men, women or children can do so by dropping them off at Jackson, Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center 2425 N. Limestone. Used coats are acceptable as long as they are in good condition with working fasteners and no rips. Other types of outerwear are acceptable and appreciated, like sweaters, jackets and sweatshirts. Even hats and gloves can help someone stay warm this season.
The drive will go on through the end of October and the coats will then be distributed to people in need at no cost. Coats can be dropped off at Jackson, Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center 2425 N. Limestone . Call 937-399-2811 if you need more information.
